About the First Muslim Mosque of Pittsburgh
al-Masjid al-Awwal is located in the Hill District of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and was the first Muslim mosque established in Pittsburgh. Here at al-Masjid al-Awwal, we ascribe to the understanding of Islam upon the pristine way of the pious predecessors ( as-Salaf as-Saalih) and we do not believe there is any other way to success except upon that:
So if they believe in the like of that which you believe, then they are rightly guided, but if they turn away, then they are only in opposition. So Allah will suffice you against them. And He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower.
