About the First Muslim Mosque of Pittsburgh
Al-Masjid al-Awwal is located in the historic Hill District of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and was the first masjid established in the state of Pennsylvania. We ascribe to the understanding of Islam upon the pristine way of the Prophet Muhammad (may Allah raise his rank and grant him peace) and his noble Companions (may Allah be pleased with them all), as understood and implemented by the early righteous imams of the first three generations of goodness (may Allah have Mercy on them). Believing and practicing as the Companions did is true guidance according to the Book of Allah, and all other ways lead to disunity and argumentation:
So if they have eemaan the likes of what you have, then they are rightly guided. But if they turn away, then they are only in opposition. Allah will suffice you against them. And He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower.
