Our building is over 125 years old and has been designated as a Historical Landmark in the City of Pittsburgh. Formerly a public library, the masjid has undergone different phases of renovation. However, it has yet to be fully renovated. Moreover, keeping up with the needs of this building has been a serious challenge over the years due to the building’s age. We presently have a renovation action plan (attached) that, if complete, will finally finish our years-long renovation efforts, in shaa’ Allah.
